Wkrótce znajdziecie tutaj radio internetowe mocno związane z dobrym, szczecińskim i nie tylko brzmieniem klubowym. Wypadałoby jednak najpierw, oddać hołd tym, którzy niegdyś tworzyli Radio ABC – pierwowzór i skarbnicę muzyki miasta Szczecina.
Przeszłość, Radio ABC i idea
Na początku było to istniejące od 1993 roku lokalne radio ABC, które latem 2003 roku zmieniło profil stając się stacja przyjazną dla niszowych brzmień, które nie miały szans na zaistnienie w ?zwykłym? radiowym eterze. Z głośników codziennie sączył się hip hop, dancehall, reggae, ska, drum nad bass, techno, elektro, house, nu jazz, soul, funk, punk, folk, metal i inne nie prezentowane szeroko gatunki.
W ciągu dwóch lat istnienia w takiej formie radio ABC stało się w Szczecinie (i nie tylko) kultowa rozgłośnią ludzi myślących i niezawodnym źródłem informacji o nadchodzących imprezach i koncertach, która jak się wszystkim wydawało wrosła na stale w miejski organizm.
Niestety! Wszystko, co dobre kończy się zbyt szybko. W 2005 roku ABC zostało sprzedane, zmieniając się w RMF Maxxx. Żywe mądre słowo i ciekawa muzykę zastąpiła sztampowa ?plejlista? z komputera i częstotliwość 98,4 dołączyła do szeregu podobnych grzecznie sformatowanych stacji dla masowego słuchacza. Duch ABC jednak przetrwał.
Dzięki uporowi ?abecadłowej? ekipy Autorów Audycji Autorskich, którzy chcieli ocalić niepowtarzalna atmosferę i brzmienie tej stacji w kilka miesięcy powstało internetowe radio ABCkru.org, gdzie codziennie dzielą się oni z wami swoja pasja do muzyki.
Co tydzień każdy znajdzie w ramówce ABCkru przynajmniej godzinę z brzmieniami, które kocha, a na cyklicznie organizowanych imprezach z cyklu ?ABCkru Showcase? może pobawić się przy dźwiękach serwowanych na naszej wirtualnej antenie.

Eng: In the beginning there was a local radio ABC 98.4 fm that existed since 1993 only to transform its profile into ?beyond-mainstream?-oriented one in 2003. ABC quickly became the asylum for all kinds of music that were not present in ?regular? radio-stations. There were hiphop, dancehall, reggae, ska, drum and bass, techno, electro, house, nu jazz, soul, indie, funk, punk, folk and heavy metal and other under-represented genres soaking from the speakers.
On the course of its two-year-long existance Radio ABC became an object of cult for the more sophisticated listeners of Szczecin, Poland (and not only there) as well as a reliable source of information on upcoming parties and concerts. It grew its roots deep into the urban mechanism. Unfortunately everything that?s good ends too fast. In 2005 ABC was sold and changed into a branch of one of the national radio-networks. Wise words and fascinating music were replaced by computer-generated playlists and the 98.4 fm frequency joined the many alike-sounding ones created for the masses. The spirit of ABC survived though. Thanks to its crew?s creativity and perseverance the unique spirit and sound was saved in the form of an internet radio called ABCkru.org.
Built from scratches in only a couple of months it became the place for the AAAs (Autorzy Audycji Autorskich – the Authors of the self-made radioshows) to share their passion for music on a daily basis. Every week in ABCkru?s programm everyone can find at least an hour of the sounds they love. The monthly events (ABCkru?s Showcases) make the listeners gather together and dance to the music served daily on our virtual frequency.
